FAQs for Pranic Healing Workshops

About Pranic Healing

  • What is the difference between Pranic Healing and Reiki?
Pranic Healing uses life force energy, which is available to anyone who knows how to access it. Reiki energy is generally attuned to the individual by a Reiki master. Reiki energy is intuitive, without intention. Pranic Healing uses both intention and intuition. Reiki healing is generally hands on, though it can be performed in the patient's aura. Pranic Healing is a non-touch healing modality only. Pranic Healing uses practices to protect the healer from contamination of diseased energy of the patient. Reiki does not have a standard system in place for that purpose. Pranic healing disposes of dirty, diseased energy safely. Reiki does not have a standard system in place for that purpose. These are only some differences.

  • Is Pranic Healing hard to learn?
The simple answer is no. However, there are specific techniques, which are taught in the workshops and in Master Choa Kok Sui's manuals that have to be followed in order to heal with the greatest effect.

  • What is the advantage of this modality over other modalities?
Pranic Healing courses are standardized no matter where in the world they are given. Information is consistent and dependable. Techniques are taught and experienced at the workshops to ensure understanding. Protocols for healing specific illnesses were developed systematically. When the healer follows the protocols, there is generally success in supporting healing.

There is a certification course that one must take online. Also, each level requires a written test. The first level is Associate Pranic Healer. The second is Certified Pranic Healer. The third is Certified Pranic Psychotherapist. At present the third level has not been offered in the US. The Pranic Healing Center in New Jersey is responsible for Pranic Healing certifications.

  • What is the best way to prepare for Pranic Healing workshops?
The classes are loaded with information and energy, so it's a good idea to get to sleep early the night before. It is a good idea to eat lightly and forgo alcoholic beverages and recreational drugs the day before and while being exposed to the increased energy of Pranic Healing. It is also highly recommended to avoid pork, catfish, and eel while practicing Pranic Healing. Further, one should not wear leather, silk, or rubber while working with pranic energy, as it insulates the energy from flowing freely.
